Hello! My name is Andrew, su ñaño

I am so happy you found us!

I’m the owner and operator, and I’d love to introduce myself. I spent the early years of my childhood in a farming town in the province of Esmeraldas, Ecuador, where I grew up on my grandparents' farm. Our main exports have been bananas and cocoa, which instilled a deep appreciation for these ingredients.

Due to the increase in crime and danger in the area my parents moved me and my younger brother to Raleigh, NC when I was nine years old. We all loved Raleigh and have fallen in love with the community.

Y'all means EVERYONE.

Living in Raleigh my mom made it a point for us to never forget where we came from. The typical ‘multicultural’ household you could say.

In recent years, we’ve noticed a dramatic increase in the price of cocoa beans—100% since January 2024, and a staggering 230% since July 2022 as noted by David Branch, an analyst with the Wells Fargo Agri-Good Institute.

This situation sparked an idea!

Since we already grow cacao trees, why not make the chocolate ourselves?

And thus, Just Good Chocolates was born!

Today, we buy the Cocoa Nibs from a trusted third party company to make our bars. The goal is to sell the chocolate from the farm where the local esmeraldeños get to profits.

Welcome to the journey!
